Stay Near

Stay Near

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

The city sighs and whispers under the

Wintry kisses of a bruised, foggy sky

Bewitched by the glimmer of fairy lights

Braided into the tangled arms of trees

We meander through the silhouettes

Of menacing buildings and people

Walking, crashing in waves

Through the silence your arm speaks

It lets me know you are here

What more could be said

When words are exhausted

Stay near

The wind is bitter

Spring blossoms in your eyes
