Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

The auriferous light falls into my vomiting eyes

Propagating dehydrated words from painted lips

Carnelian leaves devour jaded trees leaving citrine

Trails on expiring ground, I am blind to my own breathing

As I wipe your mouth from my kiss, I spin alone through

The burning stratosphere, my fainting thoughts crash

Through your trembling stick arms, I live on the dying

Foliage, you are a scientist, we do not touch hearts

Too frail to notice their own beating, we are not a we

There is you and there am I, the clock struck midnight

You are no prince and I am not Cinderella, the light of the

Cheshire cat's smile dazzles, there is no time not to dream
