Plum PopinjayA Poem by A.A.Romanczuk I saw
to-day a most egregious popinjay Not a hair was out of place! Not a mark upon his face! All of the gold of India resided upon his arm! What charm! My fair popinjay, callooh callay, oh the things that he did
say! Oh the nerves that he did fray to obtain a low-fat parfait! Only to pay and say he preferred a skim café con leche! My vain weathercock in plumes of crème and grey… Tis time for your words to be strained, neutered, spayed! Tis time for the vorpal sword to cut you short, oh yes, I am your frabjous day, farewell, plum popinjay. © 2012 A.A.RomanczukAuthor's Note
