The Wet Wet World

The Wet Wet World

A Poem by hihat
"

This was an English piece that I wrote that was based on water.

"
The world is just two thirds of water
And people everywhere have always thought of
Diving into the deep blue sea
To see the underworld, or sneak a pee.

We live with it, clean with it,
Bathe in it, can't breathe in it
Water is a very strange thing,
It's thicker than air, but not like string.

To take a sip of this cool invention
Is a refreshing moment -- oh, did I mention
That you can intake this liquid-like device?
It can clean out your systems. Now isn't that
precise?

If you ever have a day with nothing to do
Take a trip on a ship, or lounge by the pool.
It's such a nice moment when you can stare at the water
The reflections make you look funnier than you ought to.

You see, water is a precious thing
Full of complicated physics that are amazing
Amazing water that falls through your hands
Now isn't that something grand?
