That FeelingA Poem by VertigoingnowhereIt hits me like a form of ecstasy. Pure and hopeless and tragically soothing. It put me in a daze, where time wasn't real. Everything was in slow motion and I could hear the music Oh what music, such wonderful music, It gave my skin goose-bumps and sent shivers down my spine. Wrapping itself around my ribs, So tight its harder to breathe. Then came the rain. A cooling sensation, oh the rain Of water pouring down and down and down Off the roof and off branches of trees, slashing and
splashing, Carelessly into puddle by the street. Drops of water on my face, Running off my chin and down my neck. Within a matter of minutes I’ll be soaked for sure. And sure enough, you would think I had just gotten out of the
ocean Just left a feeling of weightlessness. When below my feet
lies mysteries of all kinds Which are better off unknown Unlike some other things that I wish were known, And off my mind goes, out for a stroll It bumps into you, of course, I should have seen, The likes of you no less, "I really miss you, I have for months now." I'd say. But won't ever do. So with that not said, You'll never know, These feelings that I've felt for some time and These thoughts I've been thinking and thinking about. And just like that, The feeling, Was gone. © 2014 VertigoingnowhereReviews
