Him

Him

A Poem by Vertigoingnowhere

He is like rain.

He leaves a trail of goose-bumps on your skin.

He surrounds you completely,

And is a pleasure to dance with.

He is like sunshine.

When he’s around, you feel warm.

He brings life to all he touches.

And he leaves you with something beautiful.

He is like the sea.

Full of wonder, amazement like you’ve never seen.

And when you fall beneath the surface, the world goes quiet.

All you feel is his presence, like nothing else matters.

He is like the woods.

Deep and dark, yet full of life.

You can get lost in his eyes, the color of evergreen.

Feeling safe and sound deep within his borders.

He is like the stars.

Shinning so brightly, full of light.

You can look at them for hours, never once getting bored.

And you may not always see them, but you know they’re always there.

He is the light within my darkness

He is the reason I wake with a smile

He is the happiness that has taken over my body

And I never want to remember what it was like in the time before him.

I love the nature comparisons to the person whom has captured your heart. The flow is easy and the word choices are really good.

Love is powerful, sometimes we loose ourselves in it, embracing the love we share or have. I like this. and I loved that you opened yourself :) Thank you :) Although what struck me is your heading. I can't imagin so much love for a person, Only for the poetess to give the heading ''Him'' You know? But all and all I really enjoyed it well done :)

Goodness, this is lovely. He is one lucky fellow to have such natural powers of attraction! I hope he uses his talents well and never takes them for granted or, more importantly, those who orbit them.
