The Curtain is closing on Summer, But not on my Adventuers

The Curtain is closing on Summer, But not on my Adventuers

A Poem by Vertigoingnowhere
"

Just came up with this out of the blue

"
The sun shiny filled days of summer are coming to an end. Soon I will return to the many adventures of well, high school. This past year wasn't my best. There were more dark days the bright ones. There were more ups then downs, but this year I am determined to make junior year a great one. Filled with new friends, old friends, family, and good times. The sun may be setting on the bright shiny days of summer, but the darkness of the night will not consume me, not anymore. The moon will shine down on me, with the shimmering stars lighting the way to my happiness. So bring it on teachers who Put more thoughts into a book then the author did, teachers that never know when to stop lecturing and teachers that just dont care. I will take you on and accept the challenge, as me Hannah, the High School Adventuerer.

Remember this all to well; starting high school. If an old man can give one piece of advice the kind I wish someone had given me. Is that to remember that high school is only a small blip in your life so don't surrender to the pressure and face the challenge so that your future will be that much brighter.

Love the description in this poem, and the bright out look of it too!

Aww, this is awesome! I'm starting my junior year this year as well (just started it last week actually), and last year I felt EXACTLY the way you did. It's like you're stealing my thoughts and putting them on paper. :)
But yes, high school definitely is an adventure! Life is like that, ya know?

Remember that each moment you live, you only get to live once, so make it count. And even if you're doing something you think is incredibly boring, time flies faster than you think so don't just sleepwalk through life.

Best of luck to you!

High school can be fun. Also can be hard. High School is a set-up for life. Must learn to survive by many different kind of people and survive. Good luck in the coming year. A excellent poem.

Good luck! Enjoy the year. Notice everything. Be patient with others. Store it all away. Make it count. Surprise yourself. Smile. Help others.

Cool! I really like this poem. And I agree with you. Just because summer is over doesnt mean that everyones cool adventures have to end. I love how you show how ready you are to take on the challenged of junior year. It was like you were saying to your past "Yes past. you were dark and you consumed me once before but never again" I loved it! Great job:)
