Drink Her

Drink Her

A Poem by Muse

Fair Goddess
hands stretched out
limbs wide open
honeysuckle vines
drink her

Crystalline glass
she'll fill it full
the intoxication
quenching a thirst
drink her

Fair Woman
a tree of life
dripping with rain
mouth wide open
drink her

Coil with her
vessel of breath
drunkenness
aperture open
drink her

To drink of life is to imbibe in the good with the bad - dripping with rain, when the earth is parched and one needs to be rejuvenated. To spend enough time to soak it all in, leaves one tired, almost drunken with the experience but it is then we are able to partake of the fullness of living - we must be totally spent out to fully appreciate the value of that which is so freely given!
Full of sensuality and LIFE!!

Why must you emit such seductive imagery? Don't you know we have enough trouble already trying to focus on what we are actually paid to do in a day, without already having to keep mythic erotic dreams from swirling around inside the space between two ears?

I liked the image, but I then read the piece differently, taking each first line, then each second line and so on.... paints with even more layers. Have no idea if it was intentional, but certainly intriguing. Check it out.

This thirst for passion has my head spinning with desirable images.

Oh, come on Lady. How much can I get spoiled in a day? And then you post this? For goodness sake... Where do you want me to start? The sheer beauty of it that drws a smile up from my belly and plasters it on my face? The intoxication of the language that makes me remembr that there are better ways than booze to get a buss on? the phenomonel eloquence and joy to be had in every sylable and word, placed as carefully as chips on a motherboard? The tantilising eroticism of Dryadery (not sure if it's a real word, but looks good to me).
You have given me a treat that can only be summed up with the words 'Thank you.'
But it's not nearly enough

I love the simple format of this piece, it provides a great rhythm and set up for your words, which are chosen very wisely. Great write, as always!

So different and full of beauty this poem. Entwined with nature and feelings in a way that built a wonderful piece of art... Loved it...

Well if I were to recap my favorite verses, I'd have to re-write the entire poem. Holy Mother of God, woman! This is absolutely my favorite...every word just oozes divine brilliance, such powerful, lyrical and mesmerizing honesty. This is effing perfection, my friend. ;)

Such a beautiful piece, how you set all the words so gorgeous down in this poem of nature, and all facets... one to read, and re read over and over again~ thank you for your outstanding qualities! xx

What does this mean ?
Woman is the fountain, she is the well
from which man is nourished and refreshed.
Woman is the succulence from which all
flavor and aroma originate.
Woman is beyond description, for she is
a Goddess to mankind and the mother of
all that livesl.
Thank you for this eulogy to woman.
