World on fire...

World on fire...

A Poem by Muse

          no

         no one can save me

         no

                        no one can save me

no one can save me but you

                    my world was on fire

            what a wicked desire

                                 An ocean made of sapphire

my heart is breaking for you

                                   our secret Eden caught fire

no one can save me but you

    I was treading an empire

                    dreaming and believing in you

                                our dance felt like barbwire

lost in the wavelength of you

                                    A mirage made of hellfire

                             looking and searching for you

                                    might our energy expire

                loathing and hoping for you

What an oppressive attire

        drowning and swimming in you

    your resentment I admired

burning and dying in you

        No one can save me

                  no

                  no one can save me

                             no

no one can save me

              no one can save me

no one can save me but you

                    my world was on fire

            what a wicked desire

I never dreamed

         I'd meet somebody like you

Author's Note

Muse

This time I could say I was truly inspired by both music and imagery. I wanted to see if I could spin off my own poem based on a famous song and some well-known lyrics. The reverberation of her voice made me feel like I was in a canyon surrounded by beautiful echoes...I tried to share this emotion the best I could, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

And you have certainly achieved your goal.........the way you have formatted your gripping write is like that of an echo descending down the valley of desire while still so much on fire, but the fire being snuffed out little by little....AMAZING!! I love it!!! I am so often inspired by a video, or an image, or both so I can really relate to you wanting to create this piece!!!
A favorite of mine!!

very interesting piece in format and content...

never dreamed i would love you, would need you the way i do...and as much as you move me...it seems loving you in some way will be my demise...

but i will go down in flames, and go down happy to have experiences what you gave me.

:: wow... the love-hate dimension of this piece... the positive-negative balance... the submission aspect... in those nearly heartbreaking and yet love-soaked images... is astounding...

:: you added a lot of texture to the chant... a lot of depth... a lot of emotion... and a lot of power... :: fantastic lyrics... is what i'd say... resounding in the ravines of emotional attachments and chaos... infinitely poetic and full of atmosphere... with just the right dash of music with the rhymes... and very well presented visually too...

Art.

:: ah... good... this was a brilliant fusion of poetry, visual art and music... :)
Stunning as it is creatively done so. The lyrical feel and the smooth flow makes it so inviting to read as if i was singing it as well. Well done!

An eerie piece that pulled me in and dragged me under! Had to squint a little to get it all (darn nearsightedness...) but well worth it. Unique and riveting poem!

Ha! Understood! Not complaining - anything worth it always takes a bit of effort!
I have never seen anyone form a poem like this. Echos came to mind as the words got smaller and smaller. I was so happy when I read your note! I had indeed heard echos! Nicely done! Angi~

Thank you...it was a risk...I wasn't really sure if my vision would be understood.
Wow, you have created something absolutely your own in this piece. This is poetically unique and so very creative in concept. I felt the suffering and the hope, and the burgeoning desire all wrapped into a free flowing, insanely beautiful piece. I'm left almost without words for this one. A favorite indeed.

Thank you, your review means a lot.
Wow that was quite unique, I'm feeling mesmerized, hypnotized by both your tragic words and haunting music in the background. I quite like this feeling, like drifting endlessly on your poetry, could be the slight buzz I've got on too ;-) ... love this!
