This reminds me of someone so close to heart and then so out of reach. Almost like a lover never touched. Of course I relate everything to my life because I'm selfish that way lol... but honestly it touched that part of me, that waits on the other side.. with arms wrapped around my knees and simply silent...xo "breathe me"... sigh

I was moved writing this...the pic of the bridge...felt like an invitation to cross over.

I know where your mind it sweetie...I hope he will breathe the same air as you someday.
You know Breath (I mean Beth), whenever I want to read a well crafted, emotional, complete poem, I always take a look at something you have written. You NEVER disappoint. You have a beautiful way of expressing a feeling..an experience...a revelation. Your words flow across the page effortlessly and I literally can't wait to read the next stanza, the next line......the next word.
Another wonderful write Beth....How lucky I am!!

When you experience a feeling of being free, free to explore and discover who you really are it really does feel like you are weightless, weightless from the heavy burden of life's troubles and strives. just for that moment your able to walk across the water because.... You have an inner strength that is telling you....YOU CAN.....and no one else but you knows this.
You know, I don't believe in God or an afterlife, but I'm reminded of a sentiment that I've always liked, namely a quote by C.S. Lewis. Something to the effect of "you don't have a soul, you ARE a soul. You HAVE a body."
It's a very nice thought, the wanderlust of the spirit and the desire to be at one with everything while being separate from it. I've always found it odd when people say that the insignificance of their existence comparison to the scale of the universe depressed them. I've always thought, why? It's a great, big, wonderful cosmos and you get to be a part of it. The greatest afterlife would be eternal flight of the soul to all the corners of existence, free and with plenty of time to see and learn everything.
..what oh what would the world see in this...a mind thats forever turning and spinning trying find ways to make these words spin on a penny n recite some copper lines that smoke like trees the essences spilling from bees...a mind that makes this possible...looking through the eyes of the poet can be like seeing into a whole new world, you makes it easy to see what this world could truly be...lol ..thanks for the smiles..this was smooth..i always enjoy your pieces
How did you know? You paint such richly emotive colors on your canvas and the journey unfolds across the time and seasons... and somehow never ends... Weightless is my wish...
