DAMNED

DAMNED

A Poem by Muse

The damned.

Light here, is a vexation and not allowed.

It waits....

for the malaise to ripen the accused;

becoming an accessory, within the jaws of suffering.

A judgement made marvelous by

the slow movements of  hell-fire

     and cirque du soleil.

Evil is calm.

All abiding to the spirits of ineffable marveling.

No sound of a beating heart. Only

confusing words spoken from the book,

of a darker art.

Picking, peeling apart, the flesh of forgotten dreams.

A piracy of ruins; filled

with laughing skulls that cannot scream!

The high court below

sampling every acquired soul.

Humanity

dissolved by the BEAST; leaving

the remnants of hope in a bottomless bowl. It's

quivering lip bites at another jowl. Attending devils,

just hackle and howl.

Etiquette has the pig open wide,

consuming all that forgot to wear the settlement.

Only the purged gets buried without a face.

There's no drop of grace......

no not a trace.

If you don't know Odilon Redon or George De Chirico you should do. Symbolism, Surrealism, all here but tied with something more A desperate but incredibly rich and darkly beautiful use of words that fit the darkest and yet most illuminating place. A startling poem.

"All abiding to the spirits of ineffable marveling." powerful indeed. it has a subtle rhythm which makes the poem even more scary , on the fact that the rhythm creeps on you only at the end! amazing use of words , truly you are a magician of words. Bravo XD XD XD XD

This is great, real enjoy reading it. I personally love looking at the darker aspects of humanity, therefore I think it's simply brilliant.

I love how you played out the intensity and how you added dramatic effects making it look like a story. And once again, as I read your words, my mind was spinning!

Did you make that photo yourself?

Reading you when you play this tune is like becoming familiar with a shy element of such dark weight it is not known on the periodic table.

Your words feel like a burning reflux of dark matter from a super-active black hole inside our souls, inside our souls.

The artifice you put into the appearance of your lines gives a visual disturbance which underscores their menance. It is as if you are privvy to forbidden knowledge. Your lines allow us to look through the dark lens within you that is your natural born gift. Thsough said lens you show us things we may not otherwise see. Some will see them more clearly than others.

I think the strongest lines are, 'Evil is calm'. Just three words, restrained and dignified and all the more potent because of said restraint. It is as if they words are so confident of their own power they do not need any further elaboration of embellishment. This confidence is chilling. The 'bottomless bowl' is a disturbing notion, suggesting, as it does, that there are greater depths await us within said black hole. The 'quivvering lip' is absolutely visual. We can't read that dab and fail to see said beasts lip a-quivver.

I also like the face/grace/trace dismount.

No lessons needed. I just write about nightmares...we all have them.

disconcerting collisions of reality and hypothetical damnation; will the two forever meet..?

a troubling, traumatic walk through the emotions of the caste aside, forever tortured for what...the question lingers.

well done...you go places not easily matched..
