I posted this viral video...to show how many false Gods we worship even in our Government. They have no minds of their own...like the religious leaders of today....we take for granted everything that they do and say.....

well, i have strong feelings about organized religion (raised catholic) and the majority are not positive...

especially the whole confession thing...

i think this raises some good points about what we worship today in our society...

your writing is quite thoughtful...and it makes us stop and think...

This is something I have been facing for about the past one year. At first when I realized it, I actually cried (I'm very sensitive :P) for about an hour. It bothered me for a long time. I questioned everything. I prayed. Then I wondered who I actually prayed to...This contemplation is still with me. So I can relate to this easily and honestly I couldn't have described this any better myself! I love this piece!

Your hurt...your questioning...I feel for you. I won't give you a lot of details on my moment of self-awareness. But long story short...I was visited by a comforting light. I don't have words for how awestruck I was. It came to comfort me during a moment of real fear. My doubts about the God I pray to. Gone...forever gone. He's real. It's man that has corrupted God's image.

Like you..when I first had this moment of questioning...I cried...then I became angry. It's a real grieving process for someone that has been taught to believe and or act a certain way for most of his or her life. But our driving force....if we follow it....then you are discovering your own path of truth.

I am...And thanks that's reassuring. Most of my poems are actually about this it's just most people won't see it. Like Hush, the reason I picked that picture was because of the checkerboard and the crows. It didn't really go with the poem, but it symbolized things so I went with it. And I know this sounds superstitious, but every time I talk to someone about this stuff, there's an interruption. Like the phone loses reception and we can't hear each other or my internet loses connection-which is what happened when right after I wrote my previous comment-and once I was talking to UnderCompulsion about this on Facebook and the messages I sent about this got deleted temporarily. Not one off topic message was deleted. And then they reappeared mysteriously...I know it all sounds crazy but it just makes me a bit suspicious...

Interruptions..no not funny at all. My mom and I talked about that once....when trying to have a serious spiritual conversation and/or experience...I have seen....felt..and heard these interruptions.

I feel my mission has been accomplished....people are talking...and that is better than walking forward blind and turning a deaf ear.

what is art??? Thoughts....dreams...fantasy's that we are taught to suppress....

I enjoy musing with you on this. Hmm art is freedom of expression? The voice that beckons us to create, the impulse towards individuality and connection.

Some would say that is the voice of temptation. The carnal spirit that is always screaming, "Let me out!"

I however...don't believe this kind of suppression is healthy. What is unhealthy...is if these thoughts and idea's bring on physical harm to another. I could give some examples of this...the Colorado shooting...he was a creative spirit driven by carnal voices...differences being...he acted upon these voices. I don't have the words to convey the tragedy in all of this. We are by nature...creative spirits. But even in creativity...both good and evil can be shared.

I wrote this on a whim. And I got past my fear of offending someone when I concentrated on just the heart of the matter. Our intuition is not being taken seriously. If we don't feel at peace with our government or belief system...then why don't more people speak out and question it? Is it out of fear? Some parts of the world might persecute someone with any ideas that are not like there own. Last time I checked...most of us still lived in the free world....so why are so many still pacifist?

I don't agree with everything in that video...but I like the controversial approach used to make people watch and talk about it. And you know what...if it gets people talking...then I'm all for it. Too many people are deaf...dumb...blind..and ignorant....I have no sympathy for someone that gets taken advantage of due to their simple choice of ignorance.

Your poem expresses my sentiments in a way that I could not have done myself and for that I will say thank you. Well done. actually Perfect.

As for the video... Extremely moving and I frown at the misunderstanding and perversions that we have put our faith into. As for me I put my Faith in God a truly supreme creator, but folks can call it what they want. I really like this video and will make time to do more research.

Ahh...that is the conundrom of most religions. To be born a sinner....and go to the grave sinless. I do think that by grace alone this is achievable. But that's the beauty of it...the achievable is free....we owe no debt...it has been paid. So when a religious leader or politician seeks our money to promote our status or salvation...that is the lie...there is no clarity in this belief.

this is very meaningful work...I believe that it's better to keep your strong beliefs about religion, rather than express and flaunt them to other people...also, religion is such a diverse thing that there are many different types of religions with many types of gods, and each religion has different ways to express one's thoughts. religion is a very controversial topic indeed.

The message of this piece rings out clear, comes from your inner core and is acknowledged by the reader as such. All the expressive elements are here, the visuals work and the flow strengthens the passion of your message.
