Blues and RockA Poem by NadiI love odd couples. We met at a bus stop I was in town She was leaving it
She had a guitar slung On her back I had my saxophone case In hand I was blues She was rock
We were both musicians We were both wanderers We were black and white Together
Some kids skated past And knocked her down I helped her up
Put her wooden leg back on With my wooden hand She smiled We’re an amputee band © 2010 NadiAuthor's Note
