Blues and Rock

Blues and Rock

A Poem by Nadi
"

I love odd couples.

"

We met at a bus stop

I was in town

She was leaving it

She had a guitar slung

On her back

I had my saxophone case

In hand

I was blues

She was rock

We were both musicians

We were both wanderers

We were black and white

Together

Some kids skated past

And knocked her down

I helped her up

Put her wooden leg back on

With my wooden hand

She smiled

We’re an amputee band

It's always difficult to know what to write in these things without sounding like a tool. Since I'm probably already past that point let's start with a cliche I love reading, started at the age of .. more..
