to be different

to be different

A Poem by Hickory Dickory

All the restless nights I've spent,
Wondering how I'm supposed to be.
Wondering what caused this dent,
That everyone seems to see.

And each night I'll lay in bed,
Wishing to wake up normal,
Because all the harsh words that they said,
Have gone straight to my head.

I wonder what it is like,
To be like all the others,
To not be this "fat dyke",
Who'll never be a mother.
