Mars

Mars

A Poem by Hickory Dickory

The moon will always be there,
Shining with the stars.
The sun will set once again,
But we never did see mars.

Mars is the forgotten planet,
Shining bright in red.
So every once in a while, give him a thought,
As you rest your dainty head.

Think of him, and when you do,
Think of those around you.
The forgotten ones that you don't see,
Old friends that you outgrew.

For those are the ones that can bring you joy,
And they're just around the bend.
So give them a chance, that's all they need,
And meet your new best friend.
