lagoon

lagoon

A Poem by Heather Hassell

there was a statue of
Buddha overlooking
the water
it must have been quite old
out there alone
bearing the brunt of the
elements
his ears
eyes and
mouth worn away
hear no evil
see no evil
speak no evil

A reflective poem.
Quietly stirring words. You say much in a small space.
Well done, dear poet.
