DamnedA Poem by Hezron Pios
The air around me feels eerily intense,
My eyes cannot dart its way upon the pitch-black view, I do hear series of screams, souls crying out for help, "Move", I tell my hands and feet but sadly it didn't. Then I realized that I am helplessly chained on a chair, For whatever apparent reason which I know nothing about, Suddenly, the sounds became whispers and then nothing, A bolt of relief hit me and my chains are gone. I am now standing using the extent of my strength; plotting my next plan, Wait, I feel something terribly wrong---a burning sensation, Then bang! There are engulfing flames wherever I look, I started to run even if I know it won't do any better. "Help me! Please! Somebody, anybody, help me!," I yelled, The fire began to crawl its way upon my tiring feet, "You cannot go anywhere, you cannot escape", a voice muttered. "Why?," I asked. "Because you are eternally damned. Here, forever, in hell," he answered.
