Words

I took a deep breath and made a sigh,
as I watched the world around me
changed from day to night.
The golden sun enthralled me with its haze,
as little by little the stars took its place.

I'm a rainbow, vivid and full of colors
but he is blind and finds it hard to picture.
He is the words in the poem I make,
for he made my heart flutter with every breath he takes.

It took me forever to find the courage to admit,
my heart that I finally wore on my sleeves
but it only took him a second to break it.

As I watched the darkness engulfed the clear blue sky,
a question I've been repressing finally pops up again,
it is the endless why's and the cruel goodbyes.
