Love Focused

Love Focused

A Poem by Tony Hwilka

As I make my path through the forest

Climb the rugged terrain of the hightest mountain

Tears frozen to cheeks blending with ice matted beard

On arriving I will have my arms extended overhead

Waiting -- you will reach and pull me up

I have a dream I'm focused on

A dream of you and me

I see it in your eyes; I see it in your smile

I feel it in your touch; I hear it in your voice

Odor of death surrounds my heart

I can't believe my love passed

My soul screams a prayer less than a whisper

Not to distrub the silence within my mind
