Why Oh WhyA Poem by Tony Hwilkaman should mind his own businessIn the lighting and thunder in a pasture nearby man came to eye a cow in the rain
Leaning forward and frowsy depressed and quite lousy man hoofed it to the cow and asked WHY?
Why are you standing out from the safety of the thatch in this mire and muck?
Want of salt replied the cow and in doing so in the muck got stuck
Man thought for a moment stated with a crul laugh How stupid of you cow to get stuck for salt
The cow turned her head slightly with a sigh looked man in the eye replied once more politely
Was it wiser to come out in the mire to pry a cow stuck in the muck ON WHY? © 2008 Tony HwilkaAuthor's Note
