Power of Love

Power of Love

A Poem by Tony Hwilka

From sleep I awake

frighten -- not knowing

where I am -- alive

Life as we know -- or

different stages of death

Until through the mist

your voice soothing

your hands calming

your face appears

so soft -- so gentle

I'm here honey, I'm right here

pain from my heart and

heavy pounding eases

Attack on my heart fails
