Now

Now

A Poem by heylemonade

Against all the odds and the knowledge,

written 1000 times through,

outside in the cold, alone with the wolves,

I'll sing for the dogs and for you.

Because I know the cause of the panic,

one hundred days now have I known,

being raped of my hope,

a black eye telescope,

it's been left, and my how it's grown.

We'll wander for years, you'll go barefoot,

and then we'll return when we're through,

but for now, I'll kiss the wind on my cold face,

and play make believe that it's you.

This is very powerful,,the acceptance and the waiting. I loe these lines:
"We'll wander for years, you'll go barefoot,
and then we'll return when we're through,"

Beautiful , sad and yet a touch of hope..as if waiting for a soul mate to mature into what they need to know to move forward in the relationship.
Great write! Beautiful flow to it!

Your poem reads well--has good structure, rythym and rhyme. After reading it twice, I still can't understand the meaning, though.
