All The Night LongA Poem by SatiA night so long and stories to tell Chairs pulled close and drinking warm wine This cold stone floor, isn't too bad We are friends, we know each other well. All night long, we laugh and we talk. Discover new things, our God is our light. A night so long, in a humble cold inn. Side by side, in this long night. Telling stories, singing old hymns. Life has not begun for us, at all. A thousand years of happiness has vanished, All taken by the fall of man. Chairs pulled close, a leaky wooden roof. You and I are drinking warm wine. It serves us well, not giving a care. We are friends and have stories to tell. It's the same every night, you and I We drink and we sing, we laugh and we talk. The Gospel is spread to save all of man kind Just you and I, in the long cold night. Live humble lives like you said. Live our days while we still can. Sing and pray Our fear will be gone. Chairs pulled close a leaky wooden roof. You and I are drinking warm wine. Discover new things, our hope is our light. We are friends and have stories to tell. So it's like every night time. We drink and we sing, we laugh and we talk. We're the stars in the night time. Singing ancient hymns Not giving a care. We drink and we sing We laugh and we talk. Let's welcome the brand new day. With welcoming arms. © 2015 Sati |
