Old Flame

Old Flame

A Poem by Kasey Nichole

Maybe it was her blonde hair,
or the way her blue eyes caught the light.

Or maybe it was how she never seemed to care,
that made you love her out of spite.

Maybe it was her slim physique that made your jaw drop,

Or maybe it was simply her revealing tank top.

Maybe it was her sour tongue that constantly spewed hate,

Or maybe it was simply how God designed your fate.

I could've sworn I saw you smile when she first spoke your name...

But you denied feeling anything, "she's just an old flame."

I like this poem. I like how it describes innocent feelings in sinful way. Good read :)

All of these statements could make you fall into a deep and wild love. Wild and tempting things we need to know and touch. Thank you Kasey for sharing the amazing poetry.
