My Valentine

My Valentine

A Poem by Hetra

You have a giant piece of my heart

It beats for you, in the light and in the dark

Your kiss is powerful, it can ignite sparks

But I keep a distance, because inside I hurt

The future to me, seems so bleak

But when I think of you, my knees get weak

My stomach gets tied into knots

And my brain produces positive thoughts

I feel your love, and it’s nice, but scares me

I don’t want to hurt you, with what’s inside me

It’s dark and cold and filled with, misery

I hate living with this curse that plagues me

This is my poem I write to you

To better understand what I go through

Even though, we are apart

You still have a, giant piece of my heart
