Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me.

Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me.

A Poem by Plagued Monumentally

The ribbon of deceased departure,

the black silk road

that gives us a clip of the future

but the future holds nothing

only stone cold silence

and distant glares of grudges

there was never a day

where the presence of memories

trail through my mind

like a robber trying to cover its tracks.

Why are you on your knees? Stop being foolish!

there is nothing more unattractive

than a man wanting something

that was never even there

in the first place.

People, especially men, will screw you over

and you can be manipulated

or even be contemplated

and your perception

will be reversed into

self-deception

This is very detailed and it has deep emotions. It makes me think this is a very personal thought and set of feelings that go along with it. This detailed and done in a way that is unique.

Hmmmm. I am perplexed. The man is on his knees begging it seems for something that was never there in the first place, then we move on to the poet's perception of people, especially men in general. Basically most people are good and mean well but there are always those who mess it up for others. They are selfish and self-serving. I think the basic idea is to try not to let the ones who hurt us ruin our lives. Well penned.
