School

School

A Poem by Plagued Monumentally
"

My representation of the first day of school...xD Watch as my imagination takes off! :D

"

Trudging through the swamp,

getting through to the doors of the dungeon,

the monstrous glares from everyone...

and everything.

Looking through the cavernous windows,

of education death roe,

there is no light in the darkness,

just more monsters hovering over me.

The doors swing open,

the hinges creaking in protest,

telling me to get out while I still can,

but I keep walking,

getting to the dungeon of English,

where the master awaits my presence.

Self-indulged thinking inferior masters,

fill the dungeons with their intelligence,

making the clock tick slower,

and slower,

and slower.

Tomorrow is the same,

the same walk of shame,

the same feeling of esteem drainage,

give me some light to drain out my,

monstrous headache.

It's a great poem, but why hate school so much? Education is where nearly all of your opportunities have come from. What if you had never learned to read and write?

I like school myself. I like the good friends who were near and the good conversation. Later in life you will appreciate the time in school. I told my children learn all you can and have fun. Life is a a hard journey. Being a kid need to travel, test life and learn. I like the way you described school. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

Totally reminds me of high school! - People I hate to say it, but high school ISN'T the greatest years of your life! (Except maybe for some people.)

Aahh school also known as jail! I know exactly how you feel, the way our government has the school system set up is ridiculous. That's why so many kids don't get a half decent education. The teachers in public schools, and private, don't even want to be there and so they just do whatever and their mean and rude and don't help you when you need it. That's why America is so dumb. Our government is freaking stupid. Plus school is just difficult, having to deal with the kids that are so judgmental because they don't understand or want to try to understand. Not to mention the work load! People are so insensitive to high schoolers, they forget what it's really like and expect you to just sail through it like it's nothing. Keep your chin up though, you'll be out of high school and wont ever have to think or worry about it again!! I know I was EXTREMELY happy when I finally graduated, which was this May lol.
