Something Worth Chasing

Something Worth Chasing

A Poem by hershey's kiss
"

I was reading my old writings, and I wrote this about "One by One" as you can probably tell.

"

My heart breaks as I read it.

"He has admirers blocking his way."

Look! There's my heart

               crushed,

            shattered,

                               the millions of pieces

                       scattered on the floor.

Because I know it's all too true.

It's almost cute

                 how oblivious you are.

Every time it crosses my mind,

                      I sink to my knees

              And cry, "God!

Isn't there any hope for me!?"

          The hot pinpricks

     stroll lazily across my face.

I think of the pretty girls

          he is friends with.

Most of them like him, I'm sure.

But even through all this,

                  I like to think

that every time you look at me,

                            I cross your mind.

   And maybe

                            just maybe...

I'm not chasing a lost cause.
