Relax

Relax

A Poem by Crowley
"

Just thoughts while on the beach....."Donde es su case mi amigo?"

"

Relax

Put your toes in that sand, quick sand

Your jaw line melts into a fond sigh of recollection

The water washes worries from between your toes

And you toast to the gods of this days beauty

Its not home that has you pining for the simple things

There is nothing simple about eating your routine

Puff pastry moments are sweet but go down too fast

Here the flavors of the moment drip over the sides of your tongue

So tell me your deepest desire in crosstitch detail

Sew my lips shut with a touch from your perfect finger

With a wave and a smile you walk away knowing

That I was here and I filled your day with pearls

When sunset arrives with its finality and promise

When the silver fish of ideas are slippery but still

When the beating of our hearts gives way to shallow gasps

You think of me in this place and breathe a heavy sigh

Its time to relax.....

Breathe a heavy sigh indeed...
Your lines are laden with wonder: the tactile images of worries washed from between the toes, lips touched with gentle fingers - the taste of life on the tongue - the sight of sun setting with both finality and promise of a new dawn...
These silvery ideas have certainly filled my day with pearls.

.
. ah, bliss ... (has mexico signed you up as a tourism consultant or not ?) ... the third line of the first stanza is amazing ... totally un-get-over-able ... the second and fourth lines of the second stanza ... ditto ... "eating one's routine" is wow ... "in crossstitch detail" is an enchanting surprise ... i thought i was the only one who had needle work in school ... and you fill this moment with gorgeous "pearls" ... and the last stanza is somethin' else ... "silver fish", eh ? ... amazing ... absolutely outstanding work, corey ... and the instances of alliteration garnish this exotic offering beautifully ... thank you for this ...

This is a wonderful way to describe the need to relax from the chaos of day to day. Very inventive oh in the next to last line one minor typo...ourh earts . I love the unique way you describe different situations. The last stanza is my favorite.
