In My Feelings

In My Feelings

A Poem by Crowley

Sometimes, I just cry
Being moved by the smallest gesture
Seeing you in me, and him in...me
Shed all you can in that pinkish hue
Return with unbridled grace
Forever heartsick and with good reason
Sometimes, I just cry

A lovely portrait of empathy. I really connect to this, and can recall the times I've felt this. The mark of a successful poem.

Jesus wept, so I guess that makes it OK for the rest of us.

There is something in 'just' crying, noting this and that, feeling this and that.. knowing what is known. Or not. Enigmatic words behind your thought, absent friend.
