Delicate

Delicate

A Poem by Crowley

Where you were concerned, I floated
Treading in shoes made of marshmallow and dryer lint
Holding taught my own shadow
Not wanting to add to the weight of your worry
You uttered another name under your breath
I strapped on my hob nailed boots and crushed your intentions
Realizing in hindsight, that I was the one who was...
Delicate

Ouch! Wouldn't your shadow stick to the marshmallow lint? Or maybe they dried out in the wind of worry. Stale. Hard enough to nail hobs into your heart. Hope you gained some foresight out of the experience.

"You can bend me, you can break me but you gotta' stand clear when the walls come tumbling down..." If she yells your best friend's name in the sack, you've most likely got a problem. Next time you're in the sack with her yell the same best friend's name. That will put her off for a bit. (laughing) I know, I know, not very "delicate". ;)

Lol...I find that kind of delicacy all too intruiging. Thanks Fabian!
Oh my, that's a no no. Calling out the wrong name. Does that really happen or is it just in the movies? Your last lines, just perfect although I felt the pain.

When they say the wrong name, they're asking for the jackboots. You know what they say the road to hell is paved with.

Lol…I don’t like to lose my s**t, but it has happened. Thanks Jacob!
The name caught my attention! This little poem is sad. You think you're not the one that is delicate until something stops your heart, and then you realize you are the delicate one! Really enjoyed it piece!
