Taking the time to realize what I do have
doesn't come naturally, it's not instinctual. Eating a day in sugar packet increments, the calories are empty, laced with bitter responsibility. Looking into the eyes of a loved one and realizing that my connection has been lost, buffering. Can you see the me that once lifted spirits, asked how your day was and waited for an answer? Instead of peering at the world through a microscope graticule, is it possible to become all encompassing again? Playing the vibrations of this existence like a harpsichord, Baroque, intense, satisfying to the tuned ear. How was your day, I'm listening.
