Vacation

Vacation

A Poem by Crowley

These f*****g tourists
I love them with all my heart
I hate them like a drunken uncle
Fingering with cash...more please
Pretending to want to know me
When they feed my babies with too fat hands
And smiley button faces, I must remember
I need them, I hate them
I am in love with one, he spoils me
In time I will be a tourist with him
And ask for my fish sandwich with mayo and extra cheese

I live in a mountain town that thrives on tourism and the locals seem to take a backseat. We want your money and then we want you to leave. So many are cool and relaxed but the entitled ones who act out ruin it for everyone else. The experience gets tainted. I really like this.
