A Story by Crowley

Him: Give me a bottle of scotch and a sunset, and I’ll show you the meaning of life.

Her: I know the meaning of my life and it doesn’t come in a bottle.

Him: What about the sunset?

Her: I don’t need you to show me a sunset.

Him: Then what do you need?

Her: A better algorithm.

Dating by algorithm is fraught with pitfalls, as you've astutely illustrated. Love the obvious mismatch. It only takes a couple back-and-forths to recognize a bad swipe! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Ok I'm in for a better algorithm too Crowley. You have such a great style and this dialogue works very well for the frustratingly perplexing subject of miscommunication in relationships, that you have chosen. Here, he's a romantic and she's pragmatist therefore 1+1 does not equal two, unless their unique algorithm compensates for the outliers... Well written, thought provoking write, my friend

Two very different approaches towards relationship issues and life in general!
I tend to go with her. More practical and definitely equipped with better algorithms. Sunsets and bottles are good for weekend revelry lol.
An interesting write, dear Crowley!

A better algorithm could well be the title of volume 41-46 of my autobiography, subheading love and misunderstandings 😊
Maybe one that ages pictures ten years to match reality and has a quiz to test their knowledge of what they write in their hobbies & interests sections add an inch to the nose in their for every wrong answer they give 😊
