Come Sunday

Come Sunday

A Poem by Crowley
"

A little season themed diddy...

"

The winter cold, waiting on snow

But mistletoe, mistletoe

Gives promise of warmth, slippery kisses

When Sunday comes, please don't go

Your wet hair curls, the streetlight glow

But mistletoe, mistletoe

My tongue on your teeth, intimate wishes

When Sunday comes, please don't go

Icicles hang, Decembers show

But mistletoe, mistletoe

Your icy breath steams, my heart it misses

When Sunday comes, please don't go

An endearing little write Crowley. Nothing like a bit of mistletoe to add a bit of warmth to the cold weather. Promises of kisses, lovely. Happy New Year's Day to you and yours.

no doubt about it.. and my pleasure sir..
Your mind works like mine--well, the younger me's mind, turning Christmastime into an opportunity for romance. I don't know about you, but I could never get enough of those "beneath the mistletoe" kisses.

Thank you, I love the feeling that Christmas brings.
And to you!
What a sweet, sad poem.
I like the phrase:"My tongue on your teeth"--unusual, but so evocative.

I too wish Sundays would never end lol. This brings to mind a lot of times I've spent with loved ones on the holidays that have made everything else in the background fade and good feelings become more prominent.
