An Only child

An Only child

A Poem by Crowley
"

Its war after all...

"

Your trumpet blared and I spit curses and revelations in your direction
You had come to take the hearts of my brethren at sword point
But your fear disguised as courage was a dead give away as to the outcome
And now dear brother, your black heart will betray thousands
And never again will you know the softness of her hands or the fury of her hair
Never again will the words of your father go unheeded
When you see mother, tell her you did not suffer at my hands
When you see mother, tell her your death was metered out in just terms
Ride now and see the last of my face, for on the morrow I shall once again be an only child

that creepy moment before raising the sword towards the enemy, we say a lot. Such a strong poem! Nicely written, Crowley.

This plays out like an epic battle.
A whole move happened in such a short piece.
Excellent work, my friend:)

Thanks Sette, been off for a few days, sorry so late on this. Hope you are well!
It's rising...penetrating the surface...even when you think it;s outta your control ...there is always something you can do.

Like drown...lol. I know luv...I know. I will crack through.
Your poem declares that you are on a warpath. When it comes kill or get killed... I suppose your fury justifies.
Till now I read only the most beautifully crafted romantic poetry Of yours . This shows how very versatile and talented you are.

"I've got chills, they're multiplying." ...my, my, I am inclined to agree with Dawn on this one. Such a lovely passage, "for on the morrow".

Ok, what's your favorite Halloween candy?

I like heath bars, million dollar bars and tootsie rolls. But my fave may be Bottle Caps.
Quite chilling to read. The thought of siblings in combat to the death, sends shivers down my spine. Happy Ha!loween. We have had lots of trick or treaters calling this evening. Scary costumes, scary faces. All good wishes
