Sex In Tucson

Sex In Tucson

A Poem by Crowley
"

Hmmm....

"

Looking from the veranda I saw a million twinkling lights

700,000 people where chasing sex

70,000 people were having sex

7,000 people were making love

700 people were satisfied

70 people were happy

7 people died

Here I am thinking about sex in Tucson

As the ambulance blares it's sad siren song

Where is that wife of mine

Tonight, the number 70 is my lucky number

Wonderful use of words and I liked how you found the proper ending. You gave the numbers, reason and purpose. Thank you Crowley for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I'm so disappointed that only 1 in 10 were satisfied and of those 10, only one was happy. Maybe Tucson is lacking in romantic lovers? But now you're there so change it up for them. Okay? Hope the wife comes back soon.

Lol, must be a man thing wondering as to who is doing what :)
I would hope to be grouped in with the 70, definitely not the 7.
Like this muchly.

lol...thanks man, just ramblings of a man deep in thought.
Love the creativity here and oh yes please, to be one of the seventy. Amazing what thoughts you can come up with when you window gaze.

It is my quest...Thanks man!!!
It's short and straight to the point. I really like it. I especially liked how you ended the piece, simply stating that night was a good night. A good break from the regular pain-filled poems. Amazing in its own way.

Hey girl!!! Thanks!!!
Well written and very creative. As is the piece you wrote. Much too old to indulge in your choice of distraction, but I remember reading about it. But then, it doesn't take so much external distraction these days, as I am already lost in thought much of the time. Some of it, I write down -- and some of that with observations and recommendations. And I have come to judge less sternly, since most daily inspiration seems new because yesterday's has passed from view. Really enjoyed path to the math.
