Cowardly Confessions

Cowardly Confessions

A Poem by Andie

In twenty years

When all of us

Have gone and went our way

The existence of your

Memory of me

Is dependant on today

Mole calculations and

poem analyses

can be filed and stored away

If I procrastinate

On saying this

A graver fee's at stake

I shake with fear

I quake and steer
My thoughts to go astray

Timid sissy

Chicken coward

I stutter, stumble, sway

At two yards' length

you're standing there

I search for what to say

The sequenced words

In perfect lines

when recalled, got away

Wretched confession

Aches me pains me

and faint and frail, fades

Twisted and tied

At the tip of my tongue

No trepid truth today
