Floating

Floating

A Poem by Andie

I'm floating and falling

Nothing can touch me

Light as the air

I'm my own personal world

A hundred miles above the barren earth

Life and experiences are all down

On that round, barren planet

Set to "self-destruct"

And I come to the halting realization

That I can't get back down to life

Can't get back to where I came from

I'm up here forever

Poignant. Feeling grown up pains and nostalgia for childhood and sadness for impending doom? I'm no good at poetry- both writing and appreciating. But I like this.
