Beauty

Beauty

A Poem by Andie

"Inner beauty", they say
but that's bullshit
And I know
Because your beauty isn't
hidden
or secret
or buried inside of you
like some private thought that the world can't see
It may come from that sweet sweet genius
that resides in your heart
but let me assure you,
it is sketched all over your face
it pronounces itself in every curl on your head
and every freckle on your neck
it erupts from your face
when your mouth gapes open with your wild laughter
your free laughter
and it is brighter
than a pilgrim wearing neon
