But Still, No Answer

But Still, No Answer

A Poem by Her Love
"

I think i've lost her.

"

I turn over to her in bed, my leg reaches out to touch hers

"Your feet are cold" i say to her. I pull her closer to try to make her warm

She says nothing. I feel the rest of her body slowly lose its warmth.

"Your hands are cold." No Answer. I hold her hands in mine.

I rub them. I kiss them. I lay my  hand on her chest.

"Your heart is cold." No Answer. I say sweet things to warm her soul.

I continue, but still, No Answer. I wait, but still, No Answer.

My eyes finally open. She's there, but still, No Answer.

I search her body. What was once there is gone.

She's here, but still, she's gone.

My arms, My Hands, My Words; Nothing can make her heart warm to me again.

I wait, but still, No Answer.
