After "Holding On To You"

It takes time to figure out what you are looking for.

all this time I thought

that You had to be a person

someone that I needed to find

I've spent a lot of time on this journey,

voyage,

shipwrecked

I have also found joy and happiness

couldn't be more grateful for the existence of

the human race

but that one night

reading those few lines

on a screen that wasn't enough bright

I saw that You can be something else other than

a person

something that you can hold on to

not an human being

not an animal

not a plant

not a cloud

not a tear

not a heart or brain

not a body

not them

if you look inside

and outside

one thing at a time

very deep

there is

a tiny spark

this spark has a lot of colours

you choose the one you like most

(I know it's hard but try to choose)

my eyes were wide open and awake

when I realised that You could be something different

that You could be Hope, and Purpose

and you can hold on to them
