Two souls, apartA Poem by SharonAll relationships come to an end one day, somehow.
The blissful kingdom on the isle of love was never again seen Looking forlorn, she step foot on a boarding ship
Going nowhere
He let go of clenching fists
granting freedom to the lovebirds
Resounding through her ears were yet his pledge of love
Reflecting in his mind were her gentleness,
of which no other seems comparable
Rewinding were the images of thought-to-be forever
Scene set: Cherry blossoms, summer is alive.
The path sees duplicating steps of the couple
The cozy cottage was a world for the king and queen
Happy moments never last; they were forced to part
The weather turned wintry and the dust settles
The passion turned into remembrance
She leaves her last kiss with her once beloved
Two souls, drift further apart
The blissful kingdom on the isle of love
was never again seen
