ChildhoodA Poem by BlueVoiceHow special childhood is, and when you're a child you don't realise how great childhood is until it's gone.
Child,
You dream far beyond the life of reality, Maybe something that probably won't interest me, You dream beyond the sky, the restless sea, You dream of your own land in which you are free You don't care how you look or appear, Not self-concious, like most around here. You say what you think, without any fear; Your innocence protects you, innocence so dear. But soon your years of youth will grow, Along with that will all freedom flow Out of your life, now maturity you must show, You'll be along with the rest of us, You'll have to watch where you go. So don't grow up fast, future may be your foe.
