Why I Can't SleepA Poem by Alyssa C.There
I lie down, Clasping
my blankets As
the darkness smothers me. I
extend my arm but
stifle for a moment. The
intimidating darkness detains
my body and my
thoughts. All
I do is degrade myself
for the millions of
lies, and my arrogant
ways. Because
of my ways, I live
a hectic life with
an abundant amount of
darkness and loneliness. I
jeopardized my reputation because
of my ways. I
lie there in my bed letting
the soft wind graze my
face, seeking a moment of
tranquility. Seeking
a moment to
elude from my ways. When
will I eclipse from the others? When
will I have my moment of triumph? © 2013 Alyssa C.Reviews
