We’re so close, but you feel distant.

You’re beside me, but you feel so far.

The spaces between our footsteps,

are not feet away, but are like miles.

 

Time goes by slowly,

but you fade so quickly.

 

I look at our pictures

and tears escape my eyes,

all I can do is wonder

why?

 

If I said I loved you,

oh what would you do?

What would you say,

and would you stay?

 

All I can do is cry

and wonder why.

Why? Why? Why?

Why did I lose you?

Why did I let you?

I love you,

yes I do.
