Impossible Dream

Impossible Dream

A Poem by leanna

I was scared to close my eyes
to greet what awaited me.
The memories I dreaded
about how dreams used to be.

You took away the only place
that I could run away.
Haunted by everything
with nothing left to say.

Growing weaker
every time I close my eyes.
I try to be strong,
but I live in the lies.

I will pray
that someday I can get away from you.
I am no longer afraid
my impossible dream will come true.
