Creeping.

Creeping.

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

In the dismal smoke of the day,

Your not a man with much to say,

Except you love me,

Your not easily undressed,

Your the fault in the wood,

makes the piece all the more distressed.

Your so convincing,

The heat of the passion is dismissing,

Your so promising,

Its a battle Im used to losing.

Youve got me spinning in circles,

Youve got me crying in cycles,

Youve got me commiting a sin,

Praying to a god I dont believe in,

Following a trail that leads to nowhere,

Staring blankly in the mirror,

Baby my heart is sinking,

Baby my shadow is creeping.

Jumping for the phone,

Sailing the silent storm,

From your touch you make me moan,

The reddest rose has the sharpest thorn.

Youve got me spinning in circles,

Youve got me crying in cycles,

Youve got me commiting a sin,

Praying to a god I dont believe in,

Following a trail that leads to nowhere,

Staring blankly in the mirror,

Baby my heart is sinking,

Baby, my shadow is creeping.
