Only 18 (RIP Arris)

Only 18 (RIP Arris)

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

Brown curls and eyes of green,
Your Italian heart bursting at the seams,
Just out of high school,
Only eighteen.

Careless and bold you were,
Foolish and fun forever you will be,
Forever and always,
Still only eighteen.

Sleeping and calm as a man should be,
As the fireworks soared in the new years breeze,
Your heart was stopped,
The breathing was slow,
Without your own knowledge,
You were the first to go.

With a heavy heart and bloody eyes,
the brother digs a hole,
To plant the soul of a friend of mine,
A beautiful young boy,
Still only eighteen.

Ill hold his hand as he cries,
That brother of that friend of mine,
And as he weeps, his heart it breaks,
He cries for his friend who died,
A beautiful young boy,
He was only eighteen.

Wow, very good, very heartfelt and full of emotion. I think it may be one of the most heartfelt things I've ever read, at least on this site.
