Run With the River

Run With the River

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah
"

More of a song than anything else.

"

Its more of a journey

From here to there,

Than from your mouth

To my lips,

Through the snow I echo the words,

Lost in translation from the underworld.

You should really come down from your throne,

Youve been there far far too long,

Wave to the grasses and to the trees,

Theyll smile back

Let them dance in the breeze.

In the eyes of a child

I see the world as it was

Run through the silver river,

Before the dawn breaks,

and the earth begins to turn.

A full sail and an open mind,

My tools of the trade are right inside.

In the eyes of a child

I see the world as it was

Run through the silver river,

Before the dawn breaks,

and the earth begins to turn.

Dmitri and the devil race side by side,

Kissing in the dusky morning light,

Hurry home my darling

Give the spell a whirl.
